My fabulous friend Lizzy (UGA capstone course leader extraordinaire + lover of all things social media) was in town from NYC this weekend visiting her friend Jessica (who is also awesome, I've come to find)! She got a big girl job in New York City right after graduation so she is Ms. Fancy Pants, FYI. We met up at Faneuil Hall for a quick bite to eat and then we journeyed through Boston on a haunted ghost tour!

Our tour guides, dressed up as old sailor'ish people, were totally into the whole "active pursuit of paranormal activities" and thus told us their own paranormal experiences, as well as how to properly use an EMF device (electro magnetic frequency...it tells ya when you're standing next to a ghost, duh). We saw the ghost of one of the three men who died at the Boston Massacre, Abe Lincoln as a ghost in the background of his family member's photo, the Omni-Parker Hotel where there have been multiple reports of scratching/hair-pulling/face-slappin' ghost encounters on the 10th and 3rd floors (don't use room #303), some King's dead Anglican cousin who died in a bar brawl and was buried at a Catholic church, an eerie graveyard, and finally encountered the paranormal as a group in the middle of Boston Common under a tree where 400 people were hung sometime back in history! It was just a grande ole time :)
Three best parts of the night:
1. I poked a man who worked at the hotel and said "Are you real?! Yep, you are. Darn." He loved it!
2. We became spectacles ourselves as the members of a wedding reception gawked at the folks on a ghost tour. "Ya wanna see something scary? That poor guy inside just got married!"
3. I got to relax away from my paper with a sexy siren, Georgia gal who says y'all (with the same panache) as much as I do!
Happy super-weird-date day!! I hope you all sent your prayers out to the cosmic universe at 10:10 on 10.10.10 :)
